Enhancing cooperation to support Al-Azhar’s moderate message, Chairman of the National Media Authority

His Eminence Prof. Ahmad al-Tayyeb, Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI), received today, Tuesday, at Al-Azhar Headquarters, Mr. Ahmed al-Maslamani, Chairman of the National Media Authority.

His Eminence stressed our society’s need for meaningful media content to consolidate and establish religious and moral values and build a defense line capable of confronting the flood of Western cultural invasion that aims to normalize social diseases and distorted behaviors in the minds of the Arab and Muslim youth under the banner of personal freedom. He pointed out the necessity of building a national media strategy that takes into account the moral and social dimensions of society.

The Chairman of the National Media Authority expressed his happiness for meeting the Grand Imam, and his appreciation for His Eminence's efforts in clarifying the correct position of Islam on various contemporary issues. He added that he is looking forward to enhancing cooperation between the two sides to support Al-Azhar’s message, introduce its moderate approach, and expand constructive cooperation in this regard.
