Al-Azhar Grand Imam: Al-Azhar is ready to contribute to the relief of the injured in a Baghdad hospital fire

Al-Azhar Grand Imam Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, announced the readiness of all Al-Azhar medical sectors to contribute to the relief and alleviation of the suffering of the injured in Ibn Al-Khatib hospital fire in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. The accident claimed the lives of more than 80 people, and injured dozens. This came in a post by His Eminence on the social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter, in both English and Arabic in which he extended his condolences to the brotherly Iraqi people. The post reads:
I extend my sincere condolences to the brotherly Iraqi people for the fire victims of Ibn Al-Khatib hospital, which is dedicated to Corona patients. I affirm the solidarity of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif and its scholars with our Iraqi brothers in their great affliction, as well as Al-Azhar’s readiness, with all its medical sectors, to contribute to alleviating the suffering of our brothers who have been injured in this tragic accident.
