His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad al-Tayyeb extended his sincere congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and to the valiant officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces, and to the great Egyptian nation, on the occasion of the fifty-second anniversary of the glorious victory of October War. The October victory restored to Egypt and the wounded Arab nation its honor and dignity and wrote with the blood of the sons of Egypt an immortal page of pride and sacrifice in the record of Egyptian, Arab and Islamic history.

The Grand Imam affirmed that the October victory will remain a landmark in the history of Egypt, and a source of inspiration for generations to hold on to faith in Allah, and to rely on Him to stand firm in the face of any aggression, and to raise the spirit of determination and defiance, and to love the homeland and sacrifice all that they possess for the homeland’s sake.The youth of Egypt sacrificed their souls for this victory in defense of the land and honor, and their sacrifices came as a testament to the fact that Egypt will not be defeated as long as it has this army that is loyal to its religion and its homeland, and faithful to its firm military doctrine in protecting the land and preserving dignity.

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif emphasizes that the precious Sinai, which was watered with the blood of martyrs, will remain a dear part of the heart of Egypt, a symbol of victory and sovereignty, and a towering symbol of defiance against all ambitions and illusions. Al-Azhar prays to the Almighty to protect Egypt, its army, its president, and its people, to perpetuate the blessings of security, stability, and dignity upon us, to grant victory to the truthful, and to grant our Arab and Islamic nations security and goodness.
