Grand Imam of Al-Azhar greets President El-Sisi, the Armed Forces and the Egyptians on the 48th anniversary of October Victory
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof Ahmad At-Tayyeb, extends his sincere greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic of Egypt, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, General Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and members of the Armed Forces, leaders, officers and soldiers, and all the Egyptian people on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of October Victories. The Grand Imam asserts that on that occasion our valiant armed forces set the most remarkable example of sacrifice and heroism in recovering our precious land. Hence, it will remain a historic memory that reflects pride and dignity, and an epic in liberating and preserving the homeland. The Grand Imam renews his call to the masses of Egyptians to invoke through this memory the meanings of determination and perseverance for the construction and advancement of our dear homeland. He also prays to Allah Almighty to shower our blessed martyrs with mercy and to safeguard Egypt, its army and its people from all evil and harm, and to bless us with many happy returns of this occasion where we enjoy sustained wellbeing, prosperity and stability.
