Grand Imam of Al-Azhar receives a phone call from the King of Bahrain
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb received a phone call, today, Thursday, from Bahraini King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. During the call, the King of Bahrain expressed his appreciation for the benevolent efforts exerted by the Grand Imam in the service of Islam and Muslims and in consolidation of the principles of the true Islamic faith, praising the pioneering role played by Al-Azhar in the intellectual, cultural and civilizational fields and its positions in support of the causes of the Islamic and Arab nations. The Grand Imam expressed to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa appreciation for the stances of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting Arab and Muslim causes, and for the Bahraini society, which throughout its history has been characterized by tolerance, moderation and human coexistence between different cultures and religions.
