Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, saluted the Palestinian people in appreciation of their steadfastness, bravery and dedication in defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and protecting it from the Zionist attempted desecration of its sanctities. He said, “Heartfelt greetings from every free person to you, the heroic people of Palestine, in appreciation of your steadfastness, bravery and determination to guard Al-Aqsa Mosque, protect and defend it.”

During his speech today at the celebration of Laylat ul-Qadr at Al-Manara Center, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Grand Imam beseeched Allah Almighty to restore security, peace, stability and prosperity to Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Lebanon. He asked Allah Almighty to rid the whole world of the scourge of wars, waves of hatred and the spread of epidemics and diseases. He asked the Lord, the Almighty, to uphold the truth and support those who adhere to it, to abolish falsehood, and fail those who adhere to it, to raise the status of our Arab and Muslim nation in the world, and to grant it security and stability.
