Grand Imam congratulates President El-Sisi and the Islamic nation on the Prophet's birth anniversary
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, extends sincere congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, the Egyptian people, and the Muslims around the world on the Prophet’s birth anniversary. Al-Azhar confirms that the birthday of the Prophet of Mercy (pbuh) is a precious memory in the hearts of Muslims, as they owe credit to the Prophet (pbuh) and remember him with love in return for offering them his blessed Prophetic guidance. Allah Almighty says, “Indeed, Allah has done the believers a favor by raising a messenger from among them—reciting to them His revelations, purifying them, and teaching them the Book and wisdom. For indeed they had previously been clearly astray.”
On this blissful occasion, Al-Azhar calls on the Muslim masses to emulate the morals of the Prophet of Mercy (pbuh) and follow his Sunnah, his transactional conduct, and his graceful qualities. In his good manners and guidance, the Prophet (pbuh) reached the zenith, so much so that Allah Almighty says to him, “You are truly of outstanding manners.”
His exemplary moral conduct was not limited to dealing with the believing followers, but rather applied to his opponents and those who disbelieved in him. So, he would not mock their beliefs, nor did he order anyone to hurt them in word or deed. He would rather pardon them while having the power to punish them for their injustices, fulfill his promise to them, and return the trusts to the due owners, even if they were non-Muslims.
