The Grand Imam mourns the eminent scholars, Prof. Taha Hubaishi: “A shining beacon of knowledge has just faded”.

In firm satisfaction with the Decree of Allah Almighty, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, mourns his dear friend and colleague, Prof. Taha Ad-Dusuqui Hubaishi, Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Al-Azhar University, and a member of Al-Azhar Senior Scholars Academy, who passed away, today, Saturday. The Grand Imam assures that the deceased, though left for the Abode of Truth, remains alive through his academic legacy of lectures, classes and lessons at Al-Azhar Mosque, Al-Azhar University and other academic institutions, adding that with his passing away, “a shining beacon of knowledge has faded”. The late professor left a massive legacy produced through a bustling academic career marked by dedication to the service of the message of Islam. His writings have enriched the academic library and his lectures are now available on the internet and accessible for all knowledge seekers everywhere. Hence, the Grand Imam extends his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased scholar, his disciples, his fans, and all scholars, for the passing away of this luminary scholar, praying to the Almighty Allah to admit him to Paradise and to grant his family and us patience and solace; "Surely, we belong to Allah and unto Him we shall return."
