The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, announced his participation in the International Human Fraternity Day celebration, calling on all peace lovers to galvanize and work for a bright future for humanity. He thus posted on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, in Arabic and English stating, “It is a pleasure to participate tomorrow, along with my brother Pope Francis, and all peace-loving people in the International Human Fraternity Day celebration held by the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity. I call on all people of goodwill and proponents of inspiring projects to galvanize and hone their energies and thoughts on this day towards a bright future for our humanity.” It is worth noting that the United Nations General Assembly, at its seventy-fifth session, adopted the anniversary of the signing of the Document on Human Fraternity, February 4, as the International Human Fraternity Day. On that day, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the Pope of the Vatican cosigned this historic document in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019.
