Grand Imam applauds the Egyptian efforts sustaining the Palestinian cause and calls on everyone to work for the good of Palestine
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Aḥmad Aṭ-Ṭayyeb, applauded the great Egyptian efforts sustaining the Palestinian cause through embracing the Palestinian national dialogue, bringing the Palestinian brothers together, and agreeing to hold Palestinian elections. This note was posted by the Grand Imam on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, in Arabic and English, and it read as follows, "The Palestinian national dialogue, which was held under exclusive Egyptian sponsorship, is a step on the right path of uniting ranks and bringing the Palestinians together. Great efforts are led by Egypt, which has always been a major supporter of the Palestinian cause. The past several meetings of leaders and representatives of the Palestinian national factions and forces, under the auspices of President El-Sisi, resulted in reaching a national consensus on the issues of partnership and elections at all its stages, as well as on the issue of the final statement on national dialogue on behalf of the leaders and representatives of the Palestinian national forces and factions.
