Al-Azhar Grand Imam recommends Egypt’s ambassadors to Africa to benefit from Al-Azhar as a major integral to Egypt’s soft power

Today, Thursday, at the Headquarters of Al-Azhar, H.E. Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, received Ambassador Sherif Nada, the new Egyptian ambassador to Burkina Faso, to discuss ways to boost Al-Azhar’s support for the people of Burkina Faso.
The Grand Imam stressed that Al-Azhar’s major interest is caring for the African peoples and supporting the stability and independence of the countries in the continent. He also highlighted Al-Azhar’s readiness to open an Arabic Language Center in Burkina Faso in a way that helps Muslims there master the language of the Noble Quran. Besides, the Grand Imam pointed out that Al-Azhar is willing to intensify the training courses offered by Al-Azhar International Academy for the Training of Imams and Preachers to Burkina Faso preachers.
For his part, Ambassador Nada expressed his pleasure to meet the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and appreciation for his efforts in support of the causes of the Muslim nation and Muslims around the world. He asserted that he would pay great attention to facilitating the processes for foreign students enrolled in Al-Azhar and for hosting imams from Burkina Faso to train them at the Al-Azhar International Academy for the Training of Imams and Preachers.‎‎
