The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar directs that Palestinian students be exempted from tuition fees and hosted in Al-Bu’uth Islamic Hostel
HE Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, issued a directive that Palestinian students be swiftly offered full scholarships, exempted from tuition fees and offered free accommodation in Al-Bu’uth Islamic Hostel, besides assigning a monthly allowance to all Palestinian students enrolled in Al-Azhar University and the Al-Bu`uth Islamic Institutes.
The Grand Imam affirmed that Al-Azhar pays special attention to the Palestinian students, especially in the light of the brutal aggression against our brotherly people in Gaza. HE added that he is keen to follow up on their conditions personally, explaining that all the doors of Al-Azhar officials are always open to them. He then invited these students to do their best in acquiring religious and secular knowledge, to serve their homeland and nation, and to be the best ambassadors for Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif in Egypt, and in the beloved Palestine.
The Grand Imam’s directive to exempt Palestinian students at Al-Azhar University and Al-Bu`uth Islamic Institutes, , 444 male and female students and 75 applicants for scholarships, from tuition fees springs from Al-Azhar’s full solidarity with the people of dear Palestine against the brutal Zionist aggression. It also springs from the keenness of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif and the Grand Imam to ensure that the appropriate conditions are available for these students so that they can be fully devoted to the acquisition of beneficial knowledge for the benefit of their homeland and their nation.
