Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Al-Azhar Grand Imam affirm importance of continuing Arab, Islamic, and international efforts for Gaza ceasefire

 

Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Al-Azhar Grand Imam and MCE Chairman, exchanged greetings for the blessed month of Ramadan with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, during a phone call, praying to the Almighty - Glorified and Exalted be He - to bless this occasion for the Arab, Islamic, and human community with goodness, blessings, and stability.

 

During the call, His Eminence the Grand Imam expressed Al-Azhar's appreciation for the diligent efforts of the UAE in promoting peace, spreading brotherhood and tolerance, as well as the sincere efforts made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to deliver humanitarian aid and relief to Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, who are facing difficult humanitarian conditions.

 

 

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and for the efforts of His Eminence, Al-Azhar Grand Imam and MCE Chairman, in promoting peace, brotherhood, and human coexistence, as well as in imparting religious knowledge to Muslims and enhancing enlightened moderate Islamic thought.

 

At the conclusion of the call, both sides affirmed the importance of continuing Arab, Islamic, and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and working towards finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, as well as exerting all efforts to deliver aid to the brethren in the Gaza Strip.
