GI launches Noor Magazine corner for children at Al-Azhar Library in Qurna

The Grand Imam (GI) of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, opened today, Sunday, the Noor Magazine corner for children, at Al-Azhar Library in Qurna, Luxor Governorate, in cooperation between the Islamic Research Academy and the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates. The library has been equipped with all issues of the magazine and its cartoon series. 
 
His Eminence stressed the importance of the role of Noor Magazine in spreading knowledge and instilling noble values in young people, and the need to be alert to the danger of translated foreign publications that aim to spread alien ideas into our Eastern culture and negatively influence the minds and behavior of Arab and Muslim youth.
 
The Grand Imam also directed the allocation of a special corner for Noor Magazine within Al-Azhar Al-Sharif libraries nationwide, to encourage children to read, provide easy and appropriate books and publications for different age levels, contain children and young people, and protect them from the dangers of the digital world. Events and workshops aimed at raising parents’ awareness regarding how their children deal with the digital world are also to be organized at the Grand Imam’s directions.
 
The celebration was attended by Dr. Noha Abbas, editor-in-chief of Noor Magazine, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad al-Ramli, Vice President of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates, Luxor branch, officials of Al-Azhar Library in Qurna, Islamic preachers from Luxor, a delegation from Nour  Magazine, and a group of children in Luxor Governorate.
