The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar mourns Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzouri, former Prime Minister of Egypt, affirming, “We have lost a sincere and patriotic man”.
With greater contentment with Allah’s decree and destiny, Al-Azhar represented by the Grand Imam, His Eminence Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, mourns Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzouri, former Prime Minister of Egypt, who passed away today, Wednesday, at the age of 88 years. Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif affirms that today Egypt has lost a loyal patriot who spared no effort in serving his country, responded to its call at crucial stages without delay, and worked hard with diligence and sincerity during his national march for the sake of Egypt’s renaissance, advancement and stability. His Eminence the Grand Imam extends his sincere condolences to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the family of the deceased and all the Egyptian people, asking Allah Almighty to bless the deceased with his vast mercy, to admit him to His vast gardens and to grant his family and relatives with patience and solace.
“Surely, we belong to Allah, and surely to Him we are returning.”
