Al-Azhar GI urges Minister of Endowments to focus on imam affairs

 

His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, received Dr. Osama El Azhari, Egyptian Minister of Endowments, this morning, Tuesday, at Al-Azhar headquarters.

 

Dr. El Azhari expressed his happiness for meeting His Eminence the Grand Imam, expressing his happiness and that of all the imams and employees of the Ministry of Endowments with the success of the important visit that His Eminence made to Southeast Asia, which had a wide regional and international resonance. He pointed out that this successful visit reflects the success of His Eminence’s era, the consolidation of its role globally, and the confidence of the Muslim nation in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

 

His Eminence stressed that Al-Azhar’s approach is to support the efforts of religious institutions in Egypt, in a way that serves the true message of Islam and achieves the interest of the nation, its security and stability. In addition, it supports all religious institutions in the world, to achieve the common goals of serving Islam and Muslims.

 

His Eminence congratulated Dr. El Azhari on assuming his new role as the Minister of Endowments, and advised him to take care of the imams, to pay attention to their affairs and matters, and to motivate them so that they can perform their role, and restore their prestigious position of reverence, knowledge, modesty, high morals, and pride in themselves.
