His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, extended his sincere congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, and the great Egyptian people on the 72nd anniversary of the July 23 Revolution.

Al-Azhar affirms that the July 23 Revolution was the birth of a new dawn in the history of Egypt, to end an era of successive occupation. It aimed at building the Egyptian state on solid national foundations to preserve the homeland, its people and its capabilities, achieving justice, and recovering what was stolen. During it, the Egyptians set the most wonderful example of cohesion between the army and the people until this revolution was destined to succeed.

Al-Azhar calls on all Egyptians to continue working with diligence and perseverance to achieve progress and prosperity for their country and its great people, asking Allah Almighty to protect Egypt from all harm and evil, and to bless it with more security, safety, and stability.
