His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in the UAE, conveyed the condolences of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI) and MCE Chairman, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, on the death of his elder sister, who passed away this morning, Wednesday.

The delegation included Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Haddad, Grand Mufti and Director of the Fatwa Department at the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, and His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre.

The delegation expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to His Eminence the Grand Imam and his honorable family, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the deceased and to grant her family patience and solace.
