Al-Azhar Grand Imam (GI) and MCE Chairman, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb received today, Sunday, at Al-Azhar HQ, Mrs. Celinda Sosa, Bolivian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

His Eminence the Grand Imam welcomed the Bolivian Minister of Foreign Affairs to Al-Azhar, stressing Al-Azhar’s readiness to provide the necessary support to the Muslim community in Bolivia, based on its responsibility to support Muslim issues. She stressed Al-Azhar’s openness to dialogue and building bridges of cooperation with cultural and religious institutions around the world, in a way that serves the spread of the values of fraternity and global peace.

The Bolivian Foreign Minister expressed her happiness at meeting the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, and her country's appreciation for his efforts in spreading the culture of fraternity and coexistence. She noted her country's efforts to strengthen its relations with Egypt and its efforts to invest in these relations through cooperation and joint coordination, especially in the scientific, academic and cultural fields.
