The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar offered his condolences to the Palestinian mother and  physician, Alaa Al-Najjar, saying: “A horrific crime that embodies the most heinous forms of terrorism against a defenseless people who have nothing but their steadfastness and faith.”

 

With a heart filled with pain, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, offered his sincere condolences to the patient and steadfast Palestinian mother and physician, Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, for the death of nine of her children, and the injury of her husband and her only remaining son, as a result of the treacherous Zionist bombing that targeted their home in the Gaza Strip. This horrific crime embodies the most heinous forms of terrorism practiced by the Zionist occupation against a defenseless people, that only owns steadfastness and faith.

 

His Eminence affirms that the scene of this steadfast mother, receiving the charred bodies of her children, while continuing to perform her humanitarian mission at Nasser Medical Complex, calls out the global conscience and exposes its suspicious silence, and even the complicity of some of its regimes in supporting the Zionist entity, which continues its crimes and massacres, without any humane deterrent or shame. He affirms that these crimes will not extinguish the flame of truth, nor will they undermine the rights of the Palestinian people. Such crimes will not deter them from their adherence to their land, nor will they cause the free people of the world to forget the chapters of this brutal injustice.

 

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar supplicates to Allah Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon the martyrs, to elevate them to the highest levels in Paradise, to make them a treasure for their parents on the Day of Judgment, to grant their parents peace, abundant reward and recompense. “To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”
