The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb is keen to annually congratulate top-ranking students in Al-Azhar Secondary Certificate exams for their success and academic excellence. He would contact them once the grade lists are approved, and personally inform them of their high achievement in appreciation of their hard work throughout the academic year and for obtaining the highest grades.

Although the 2019 grades announcement coincided with his medical examination trip to Germany, he was keen on congratulating the top-ranking students himself, sharing with them the joy of their excellence, and urging them to keep up their distinguished work in their scientific and educational courses. This gesture had a great impact on the students, who expressed their great joy at His Eminence’s contact with them despite his illness, praying for his speedy recovery and safe and sound return to Egypt.
