The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb participated in the official opening of the Arab Media Forum, where he delivered the keynote speech, knowing that the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Nabil Al-Araby participated in the forum.

 

 The Grand Imam called on the Arab media to consider the sanctity of the Arabic language, stressing that the Arab media, whether print or audiovisual, are largely credited for the development of the Arabic language, and its significant flexibility, vitality, and contemporaneity. He pointed out that the Arab press, radio and TV, must preserve the heritage of the ancestors and the sanctity of Arabic, and avoid jargons which are poor and limited.
